(i) College Library and Reading Room

The college has a well-organized library with a good stock of text books, reference books and other valuable books related to different subjects. A large number of Journals, Magazines & Periodicals including Newspapers are also stocked in the library. Students are issued one library card for pass course and two library cards for major courses. Re-newal of the library card and reservation facilities is also available. Borrowers must return the books within fifteen days from the date of issue of the books. An overdue charge of Re 1/- per book per day, will be levied if the book is kept beyond the due date of return. A borrower will be responsible for the loss or damage of any book borrowed from the college library.

(ii) Hostel Facility

The College has a 15 Seated Boys’ Hostel which is named after Binoy Bhusan Choudhury the Renowned Personality of Assam. Every room of the hostel is well equiped with all modren emenuties.

(iii) Computer Laboratory

The College has a Computer Laboratory with 30 nos. of PC. Internet facility is available in the laboratory. The College authority has decided to provide orientation on basic Computer application to its students free of cost.

(iv) Scholarship

(a) Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe Scholarship.

(b) OBC/MOBC/Ex-Tea Garden Labour Scholarship.

The above scholarships are granted by the Government for which application forms of eligible students are forwarded to the respective authorities for consideration. After the scholarship is sanctioned, money will be deposited into individual account.

(v) Awards

(a) Dr. Babita Choudhury, Principal of the college offers a cash award of Rs. 1500/ (One thousand five hundred) only to each topers of B.A. and B.Com final examination of the college.

(b) Prof. Binoy Bhusan Choudhury Memorial award is given to students securing highest marks in Assamese Major in the TDC (Arts) Final Examination conducted by Gauhati University. This award is sponsored by the family members of late Prof. Binoy Bhusan Choudhury, founder-president of R.G.Baruah College.

(c) Prof. H.P. Katita sponsors two cash prizes to students securing 1st Class in Accountancy Major in the TDC (Com) Final examination and to the rank holder in the TDC (Com) Final examination conducted by Gauhati University among the successful candidates of the college.

(d) The College Authority has decided to offer a cash award of Rs 2000/-(Two thousand) from this year to the highest mark holders of the College in Degree Examination in both Arts and Commerce.

(vi) Students travel concession

Students are entitled to get Railway travel concession on their way home from the institution and back during vacations after proper forwarding from the college authority.

(vii) Poor Students Aid Fund

The college has created a Poor Students Aid Fund to provide financial assistance to marginalised students . The fund is created out of the subscription of the faculty members,librarian,office staff and well wishers of the College. students who wants to avail the financial benifit of this fund should apply with proper supporting doucuments to the Principal.

(viii) Free Medical Camps

Free Medical Camps are organized by the college quarterly with the help of a reputed medical practitioner of the city. These camps are meant for students and staff of the College and also for the neighborhood.

(ix) Free Admission

Students who secured 75% or above marks in HSLC/HSSLC examinations will be admitted freely.
